Today’s blog post is on the marine side of our services. If you didn’t know, aside from the beautiful custom homes we build we also provide custom services for boat lifts, boathouses, docks, and so much more. Take a look at the full list here.

As a boat owner, have you ever wondered if a boat lift is necessary? The answer is YES! Regardless of the size of your boat, a boat lift is something that you need to have to protect your investment. And how does a boat lift do that? Check out our list:

  1. Protect from Aquatic Life: Once in the water, things like muck, barnacles, algae, zebra mussels, crustaceans and more have a chance to attach themselves to your boat. And as cute as some crustaceans may be, them and the rest of the ocean life that gets attached will damage your boat.
  2. Prevents Water Absorption: Leaving your boat in the water for long periods of time will cause it to absorb the water which will deteriorate the exterior of your boat.
  3. Prevent Scrapes: Since your boat is normally on the water, it will go through many storms and inclement weather. As the water levels rise and decrease, the boat will hit the dock and create scrapes. A boat lift will prevent the boat from moving and hitting the dock.
  4. It Will Save You Time: Using a boat lift will save you time when getting your boat in and out of the water.  It will also save time when you have to fuel or perform any maintenance on your boat, instead of having to work through fluctuating water levels.
